Programme of Study
The Master of Science in Instructional Design and Technology (MSc IDT) prepares professionals to design, develop and evaluate courses, employing learning theories, instructional and strategies. The programme utilizes emerging instructional technologies with interactive learning tools and the management of learning environments.

EDID6501-Learning Theory and Instructional Design
This course provided the opportunity to compare and contrast learning theories and models. I was given the opportunity to compare and contrast the work of prominent theorists while analysing the role of the learner and the facilitator in the teaching/learning process.

This course allows students to employ a variety of media tools to enhance learning. This will include the creation of video scripts, audio scripts, simple animations, podcasts, vodcasts, websites and other web media development tools.

This course allows students to design a problem- based, collaborative learning/work or performance-geared solution.

This course allows students to analyse learning and performance needs using a guided framework. This will include the creation of assessment instruments, collection and evaluation of data, and the provision of instructional and non-instructional interventions/recommendations.
